Quooker alternatives 2026: 6 cheaper boiling water taps compared on price, tank and warranty

The cheapest Quooker we list costs £1,050 RRP, a price shared by 3 models. 6 of the 9 other brands in our library sell a boiling water tap for less, starting at £299. This guide sets the cheapest 3-in-1 and 4-in-1 from each brand against that Quooker on price, tank size and warranty.

Why people look for a Quooker alternative

The usual reason is the price. A Quooker boiling water tap starts at £1,050 RRP in our library, and the range runs up to £1,450. The alternatives start lower and some add a function, such as filtered drinking water, that the cheapest Quooker does not list. The price gap is real, but it only tells you something once you know what sits on either side of it.

What you give up and what you keep

The cheapest Quooker has a 3 litre tank and a 2-year warranty. The 20 alternatives have tanks of 2 to 7 litres and warranties of 1 to 5 years, and 17 of them list filtered water. So the choice is rarely a straight downgrade. A cheaper tap with a bigger tank and a longer warranty exists, and so does one with a smaller tank and a one-year warranty. The brand sections below show which is which.

Three questions that decide the choice

First, do you want filtered water from the same spout? If you do, only the 4-in-1 taps and a few others cover it, and you pay for a cartridge on a schedule. If you do not, a 3-in-1 is the cheaper route. Second, how much boiling water do you use at once? Tank size decides how many cups you get before the tap has to reheat. Third, how long a warranty do you want on a tap that sits under the sink for years? The tables below put all three next to the price.

Questions people ask

What is the cheapest alternative to a Quooker?
Of the boiling water taps in our library, the cheapest alternative to a Quooker is the Hanstrom Ume 3-in-1 at £299 RRP, which is £751 less than the cheapest Quooker at £1,050. Check its tank, warranty and functions on the model page before you treat the gap as a saving.
Is a cheaper boiling water tap as good as a Quooker?
Our data compares price, tank size, maximum temperature, filtered water and warranty. On those points the alternatives differ in both directions: some have a larger tank or add filtered water, others have a shorter warranty. It does not measure build quality or service, so use the spec table for the numbers and our reliability and review pages for the rest.
Do Quooker alternatives need a filter?
17 of the 20 alternatives list filtered water in our data, and a filter is a cartridge you replace, at intervals of 6 to 12 months in the model rows that state one. A 3-in-1 without a filter avoids that running cost. The cheapest Quooker lists no filtered water, so a filtered alternative adds a function it does not have.
Which Quooker alternatives boil at 100°C?
Fohen, Qettle and Franke have at least one model with a 100°C maximum temperature in our library. Other brands stop at 98 or 99°C, which is still boiling for tea and cooking. The spec table on each model page states the figure.
