Our verdict

For most households, Qettle wins on value. True 100°C boiling water at roughly half the Quooker price, with filtration built in. The 2-year warranty is shorter than Quooker's, but the lower upfront price offsets the difference unless you plan to keep the tap for over a decade.

Quooker wins when finish choice and long-term reputation matter. If your kitchen is part of a high-spec renovation where the tap needs to match bespoke hardware, Quooker's 7+ finishes including patinated brass, gunmetal, rose copper and gold give you options Qettle does not have. Quooker offers 2 years parts and labour (extendable to 7 years tank-only via SWAP registration), which is meaningful if you intend to stay in the property.

10-year running cost is similar. Both sit around 10 W idle. Both heat the same volume to the same temperature. The price gap is paid back in purchase price, not in electricity bills.
