Compact dedicated steaming-hot tap to pair with your mixer
The GN1100 is InSinkErator compact boiling-only tap designed to sit alongside an existing kitchen mixer. Delivers up to 99°C filtered steaming hot water from a two-lever spout with automatic shut-off valve in the filter head. System reaches up to roughly 100 cups per hour at maximum temperature.
Our take
The Insinkerator GN1100 is the brand's compact boiling-only tap, designed to pair with an existing mixer in the same way Quooker's Nordic Single does. At £389 with a 2.5L tank, a 98°C dispense (99°C with the optional NeoTank) and a 5-year tap warranty, it is one of the cheapest ways to add a dedicated steaming-hot tap without replacing your entire mixer setup.
The price-to-warranty ratio is the case for it. £389 for a 5-year warranty is far sharper than what Quooker offers on the equivalent Nordic Single at £1,050, and an optional NeoTank lifts the standard 98°C dispense to 99°C. The compact body and small footprint suit kitchens where worktop space is tight, and the muted styling means it sits next to almost any mixer without clashing.
The limits are easy to list. 98°C is not 100°C, and the practical difference shows up when you are making green tea or trying to get a proper pasta boil. The 2.5L tank is also at the smaller end of the category, so households that pour multiple cups in quick succession will notice the reheat cycle. And like all boiling-only setups, you are paying for a function-specific tap rather than getting hot and cold thrown in, which makes this worth it only if your current mixer is staying put.
Running cost
Headline price is half the story. The InSinkErator GN1100 draws around 11 W at idle and reheats whenever the tank cools. Use the calculator with your own electricity tariff and household usage to see the 10-year total.
