boilingwatertap.com is operated by Next Day Online B.V., the team behind a Dutch boiling water tap retail business that ran from 2016 to 2024. We exited retail before launching this platform. That exit is the foundation of the independence policy on this page.
No sponsored rankings
No brand can pay to enter, leave or move within a comparison table. Rankings are produced by the same eight-criteria rubric for every model. The rubric is published and auditable.
No paid placements
We never accept payment to feature a model in a roundup, a comparison or a buying guide. Editorial inclusion is decided by methodology, never by commercial relationship.
No advertorial content
We do not publish content written or paid for by a brand and dressed up as editorial. Where genuinely sponsored content exists, it is labelled Sponsored in the hero and in the URL and lives in a separate section.
Affiliate links are extra, not influential
Affiliate links to Amazon UK and AWIN partners earn us a small commission when a reader buys. That commission funds the site. It does not change rankings, scores, recommendations or which models are included in comparisons. If a model wins on the public data it wins on the page, regardless of whether we earn anything on the click-through.
How affiliate monetisation actually works here
We participate in the Amazon Associates UK programme and in several AWIN merchant programmes, including direct-brand partnerships with challenger retailers where they exist. Where a model has a buy-it link, that link is in most cases an affiliate link.
The rate of commission is small and varies by retailer, but the principle is identical across every link on the site: commission is decoupled from editorial scoring. The rubric scores the product. The affiliate network pays out when a reader clicks and buys. Those two systems never speak to each other.
