Why people look for a Quooker alternative
The first reason is price. The cheapest Quooker we list is £1,050 and the dearest is £1,450, before installation. Our installation cost estimator puts a simple swap at around £130 to £200 in most of the UK, with London rates and cabinet modifications pushing it higher. For £299 you can buy the Hanstrom Ume 3-in-1 instead, and even the dearest tap on this page is £300 below the cheapest Quooker.
The second reason is where you can buy. Quooker sells direct and is not on Amazon UK. For Hanstrom Ume 3-in-1, Hanstrom Saxan 4-in-1 and Qettle Original 4-in-1 we have an Amazon offer, so you can read the price, the stock status and the date we checked it before you decide.
The third reason is what you actually use. Every Quooker in our data heats to 100°C from a 3 litre tank. If boiling water is what you want, you can get that for less. If you want it to be filtered, check the filter column in the table, because the Quooker range in our data does not filter.
Running cost is the part that is easy to forget. Standby draw is 9 to 14 watts across the alternatives where the maker states it. The running cost calculator turns a wattage into a yearly cost at your tariff. The Quooker tap prices guide has the same sums for the Quooker range.
