At £1,250 RRP the Quooker Flex is a Fusion Round with a pull-out hose for rinsing the sink. Boiling water still comes only from the fixed spout: the hose gives mains hot and cold, and the 100°C boil locks out while the hose is out of its dock.
It needs at least 500 mm of clear depth and 200 mm of width under the tap, so check your undersink space before you choose it over the fixed-spout Fusion Round.

What the pull-out hose adds
The Quooker Flex is the Fusion Round with a flexible hose that pulls out of the spout. The hose is for rinsing: a deep sink, a colander, a stockpot that does not fit under a fixed spout. The tap still gives 100°C boiling water from the same 3 L tank as the Fusion Round.
The boiling flow locks out while the hose is out of its dock, so you cannot spray yourself with boiling water while you rinse. Normal mains hot and cold keep working through the hose, and a magnetic dock pulls it back neatly after use.
Quooker Flex vs Fusion Round vs Front
All three share a 3 L tank, a 100°C boil and a 2-year warranty on tap and tank. The Flex and the Fusion Round list at the same £1,250. The Front costs £1,400 and moves the lever to the front of the spout, which helps when the tap sits against a backsplash or a windowsill.

Space, finishes and the hose over time
Check the cabinet before you check the finish. Quooker asks for at least 500 mm of clear depth and 200 mm of width under the tap, and some UK kitchens with deep undermount sinks or boxed-in waste pipes do not have it. The Flex comes in 6 finishes: polished chrome, stainless steel, black, gunmetal, rose copper, patinated brass.
The hose is the part with moving parts. Owners on Trustpilot report hose fraying after several years, and a replacement is a paid call-out rather than a five-minute job. If the undersink space is tight or already holds a water softener and a waste disposal, the Fusion Round at the same price avoids both questions. Cheaper alternatives with a pull-out hose

The Flex is the Fusion Round with a pull-out hose, and that one change reframes who the tap is for. If you regularly fill stockpots that do not sit cleanly under a fixed spout, or you spray down a deep Belfast sink, the £1,250 starts to feel like money well spent rather than a vanity upgrade.
The clever bit is the safety logic. The boiling-water flow is locked out the moment the hose is pulled from its dock, so you cannot accidentally spray a child or your own forearm with 100°C water while rinsing a colander. The mains hot and cold continue to work through the flexible hose at normal mixer-tap temperatures, which is the function people actually use ninety per cent of the time.
Install space and long-term mechanics are the sticking points. Quooker requires at least 500mm of clear depth and 200mm of width directly below the tap so the counterweight that retracts the hose can move freely, and a surprising number of UK kitchens with deep undermount sinks or boxed-in waste pipes do not have it. Trustpilot threads also flag occasional pinhole leaks in the hose after several years, and replacement is a paid call-out rather than a five-minute job. If your undersink space is tight or already busy with a water softener and waste disposal, the standard Fusion Round at the same price gives you fewer moving parts and the same boiling performance.
