Qettle
Higher-capacity 7L boiler for larger households
The Round-Spout Signature Modern uses the same 4-in-1 platform with Qettle larger 7-litre insulated boiler, dispensing roughly 14 cups per fill before reheating. The cylindrical spout has a softer profile suited to traditional and transitional kitchens. The bigger tank is the right choice for households of five-plus.
Our take
The Qettle Signature Modern Round 7L is the same tap as the standard Signature, but with a round spout and a significantly larger 7L boiler underneath. At £1,185 you pay roughly £75 over the 4L version, and the entire justification is tank capacity. This exists for households of five or more, or for people who entertain regularly.
The 7L tank is the headline and it delivers what it promises. Filling a 2L kettle-equivalent for pasta, then immediately pouring six mugs of tea, will not trigger a noticeable reheat lag. The 100°C dispense is genuine, the marine-grade stainless build matches the smaller model, and the round spout is arguably more universally kitchen-friendly than the square. For the price differential, the upgrade is the easiest call in Qettle's range if you have a busy household.
Where it gets harder to recommend is the running cost and the undersink footprint. A 7L tank kept at 100°C draws more idle power than a 3L or 4L. The boiler unit is also physically larger, which can be tight in cabinets already holding a waste disposal or water softener. Measure your cupboard before ordering, and only pay the premium if you genuinely run out of boiling water with smaller tanks.
Running cost
Headline price is half the story. The Qettle Signature Modern 4-in-1 (Round Spout, 7L) draws around 18 W at idle, reheats whenever the tank cools. Use the calculator with your own electricity tariff and household usage to see the 10-year total.
