Digital tap with a true 100°C boil
The Modena Digital 100 is the one Fohen that delivers a true 100°C boil, where the rest of the range tops out at 98°C. A digital 3-in-1 (boiling, filtered, hot) with a 2.5L boiler, a 2 kW element and an eco mode that drops to 60°C. Four finishes, 1-year standard warranty. Fohen lists it at £999 and sells it at £529.

The Modena is the Fohen to look at if a true 100°C boil matters to you. Where the rest of the range tops out at 98°C, the Modena Digital 100 heats to a genuine 100°C, the temperature that actually matters for sterilising and a proper rolling boil. It is a digital tap with a 2.5L boiler, a 2 kW element and an eco mode that drops the stored temperature to 60°C when you are out. Fohen lists it at £999 and sells it at £529.
It is a 3-in-1 rather than a 4-in-1: boiling, filtered and hot from one spout, so it is simpler than the Focetti Pro. The bigger 2.5L tank is a point in its favour, and Fohen publishes flow rates and the 2 kW figure, which most of the range does not.
The caveats are the warranty and the small print. The standard warranty is only one year, shorter than the Pro taps' two, and Fohen's own page warns that the digital display is not very bright and that the dispensed temperature can dip below 100°C in use. Buy the Modena for the genuine 100°C boil at a keen price, and budget for the shorter warranty.
