Franke's current 4-in-1: boiling, filtered, hot and cold
The Instante is Franke's current 4-in-1 boiling water tap and the successor to the discontinued Omni. It delivers instant 100°C boiling water, filtered cold water, and standard hot and cold from a single tap, with the tank and a 2,200-litre filter included. Built for kitchens that want filtration as standard rather than added on.

Our take
The Instante is Franke's current 4-in-1 and the tap that replaced the discontinued Omni. The job is the same: instant 100°C boiling water, filtered cold water, and standard hot and cold from a single body, with the under-sink tank and a 2,200-litre filter included rather than sold as an add-on. If you liked the idea of the Omni, this is what Franke now sells in its place.
The practical case is filtration built in. Where a Quooker Fusion needs the separate CUBE module to deliver filtered drinking water, the Instante does it as standard, which is the function you actually use every day in a hard-water area. Boiling is a genuine 100°C, the tank holds 4 litres, and Franke backs the system with a 5-year guarantee, which is longer than the 2-year cover most rivals offer on the tap and tank.
The caveats are honest ones. The chilled-water line on some older Franke marketing does not apply here: the Instante dispenses filtered cold, not actively chilled water. It is also a newer model, so the independent-review record is thinner than the one the Omni built up over its life. At a street price around £750 it undercuts what the Omni cost, which makes it one of the better-value routes to a true 100°C 4-in-1 with filtration included.
Running cost
Headline price is half the story. The Franke Instante reheats whenever the tank cools, and standby power adds up over a decade. Use the calculator with your own electricity tariff and household usage to see the 10-year total.
