How we calculate it
Plumber rates are 2026 UK regional averages from Checkatrade, Rated People and Trustpilot pricing data. London rates are 30-50% higher than the rest of the country.
Standard install for an existing 1-hole tap replacement is 2-3 hours of plumber time. A new 3-hole installation in a worktop without pre-drilled holes adds 30-60 minutes.
Electrician callout is needed if there is no free 13A socket within 1m of the install point. Most kitchen renovations have this covered, but retrofits often do not.
